In this collaboration, Deborah Hay and the "LAB Frankfurt" started an experiment with the "University of Applied Sciences Hof".
The Vision – to create a visual statement and generative forms and movements on interpretated performances by three female dancers.
Therefor the studio was transformed to a save area for performative production of time-speed-sound- location and hidden cameras to generate datas. The focus was on the dancers movement, their body, their expressions.

How it works
As part of my Interaction Design course at Hof University of Applied Sciences / Münchberg Campus, Professor Zöllner gave me the task of creating an animation based on the data from the Motion Bank project. Digitized choreographies were to be reproduced in an abstract form in order to create a new view of movements in 3-dimensional space. From the score "No Time to Fly" by Deborah Hay, or the resulting movement data, circular forms were abstracted from the movements and mapped together. As far as the type of implementation is concerned, I wanted to visualize the aspect of time and intensity of volume, as well as the speed of the SMART sequences, in order to reinterpret the mood of the piece. In addition to an application in which one could play with the different attributes to explore the forms, an information visualization of the entire piece per dancer was created, so that differences in the interpretations were strongly and individually recognizable.
